I know I mentioned that I’d post the retiring accessories list up on my blog and my plan was to update it daily so you could see what was still available. The list is constantly being updated and it is just too crazy to try to keep up with it. So my suggestion is that if you want an accessory from the current catalog you give me a call and I can tell you if it is available at that moment! Don’t delay as each day there is less and less to choose from.  (623)203-4489

Here is a list of those accessories that are already sold out as of July 26, the ones with * were those that were 25% off, you can see the whole list of the items on sale on my post July 21.

We are going to a wedding in September and I thought I’d give a card portfolio to the bride with thank you notes.

Here is a what I made my Mom for Mother’s day. It is a mini scrapbook. Inside are pictures of my brothers and sister when we were little. I’m the oldest and over 60 so you get an idea of how old some of these photos are.

CASE from Andrea Bowden

Thought I’d share a card I made today. I CASEd it from Andrea Bowden who had it published in Cards magazine, May 08 issue. I thought it was such a clever use of the die cut blossoms and A Perfect Day Rubons I just had to do it. I’m such a hoarder of my stash of Stampin’ Up! Supplies. I think if I could make myself make two of everything at least I’d be able to send some of these out. Wonder what percentage of stampers are collectors rather than senders.

I love getting handstamped cards, so I really need to be more diligent about sending them out.

If you are wondering why my blog posts have been a bit sparse, it is because my poor computer is bulging with all the stuff I’ve saved on it and wouldn’t let me add another thing until I cleaned up the hard drive. So I’ve been slowly sorting, trashing and saving to CDs. I think I’m at a point where I can upload some of the photos I’ve had waiting for my blog. I’ve got big plans to do this over the weekend. So stay tuned. What I really need to do is buy a back up hard drive so I don’t go into cardiac arrest when I get the error message “your hard drive is full.”

My poor Mac is bulging at the seams. Everytime I try to upload some photos it give me error messages that my hard drive is full…I guess sometimes you can have “too many” pictures of cards saved. So before I can post anything to my blog I have to delete stuff.

Deleteing isn’t what takes the time it is deciding what I can live without. Tonight I just decided to take a keychain disk drive and download as many card photos as possible from my desk top and put them on my laptop until I can weed though them. So I’m still making space—sigh.

I did finish my serendipity squares and made a card with them. Cross your fingers and click your ruby slippers together 3 times and repeat after me….yes Mac you do have room for a few more photos! Hopefully, by tomorrow I’ll have them on the blog.

I used earth tones, cooper and turquoise and stamped them with some Arizona type images…I like how they turned out.

It just occurred to me this evening that here I am up to my armpits in Stampin’ Up rubber stamps living in Goodyear Arizona the town that was essentially founded by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Sort of ironic. Couple that with the fact that most of my adult life has been spent working next to a flight line—it just sort of makes me wonder did I pick Goodyear or did it pick me?

I can sit on my patio and watch the F-16s of Luke AFB in the traffic pattern, and when I go out on the main street from my house I’m in site of the Phoenix Goodyear Airport. Life is good in the Valley of the Sun!

I picked the last lemons off my tree a few days ago and have them in a box (Stampin’ Up Box of course) to take to my classes to give away. I have just this little tree and it was amazing how many lemons it produced.

I just got a Pebble Creek Kare Bear Cookbook and there was a recipe in it for lemonade. I thought I’d give it a try with some of my lemons…and oh boy is it wonderful. You slice two lemons thinly, rinds and all. Toss them in a blender with 1 c of sugar and 2 cups of water, blend it into a slush. (I froze up a bunch of slush to have for later.) Put the slush in a strainer and pour over another 3 c of water, discard the pulp. Pour over ice cubes. I then took my glass and sat on the patio and congratulated myself for picking Arizona as a retirement location.
