Heated Wings

I am in a Mega Christmas card making mode the last few days…here is one of the cards I did for my Mom for a friend who recently lost his wife. Mom wanted one different from her Christmas greetings.

Stamp Set(s): Holy Tryptych, Close as a Memory
Colors Used: Barely Banana, Bordering Blue, Going Gray, Staz-on Ultramarine blue
Accessories: Heat & Stick Powder, versamarker, DD, water color crayons, aqua painter
Technique: Heat & Stick

This is one of those cards that looks so much better IRL. I used heat and stick with a versamarker for the DD on the wings. Used long notes which is a perfect size for this stamp set.

Heat & Stick Powder is a great product to use with Dazzling Diamonds when you want an all over effect or just like I did here with Dazzling Diamonds covering all the wings. It looks so much better than trying to paint on glue and then the glitter as there always seems to be a defined line where the glitter is instead of following the outline of the image.

The Stampin’ Up!® Retired list was posted today. I know you find this hard to believe but I didn’ stay up until the wee hours to see it.
